FamJam and Neighborhood Pride Block Party 2012

Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman and Franklin County Children Services welcome all families and children throughout the city and Franklin County to a neighborhood block party on Saturday August 18th, 2012, at the Columbus Commons.  The event is free and open to the public from 10am – 3pm. This special one-day festival will host interactive activities that are educational and fun and focused on safety, parenting and wellness. Children Services staff will provide parenting tips, and information about adoption and volunteer opportunities.Health and Wellness information tables, free food, entertainment and activities will take place throughout the day. Columbus Public Health’s Active Living program will host “Just Walk”, a walk with the Doc program with Dr. David Sabgir. The walk will occur in the morning. And, in the afternoon, bring your jump rope and take part in an organized “200 Jumps” to celebrate the bicentennial.
